The purpose of Retro Reflective Tape is to increase the visibility of a moving object to other motorists, especially in the dark end poorly lighted conditions. At such times, the tapes brightly reflect the light thrown by other vehicles’ headlights and warn the closing in motorists. This Retro Reflective Tape is effective in reducing “side” and “rear” impacts in dark condition and in “dark-not-lighted” conditions.

One of the most important features of retro reflective tape is its ability to collect light, change the color of that light and send it back to its source. That is why stops signs are visible at night in a red color. Yield signs are visible at night in a yellow color. 

This is one of the most important aspects of this tape. A bright tape can be seen from longer distances. For highway applications this is very important.
